Mr Burt  "...SMEG dishwasher (old) just went bang! I knew it was old and probably ready for the scrap heap but I wanted to make sure before I bought a new one. The Appliance Technical engineer came out and diagnosed the fault as the main wash motor being faulty, which caused the main PCB to blow.  He advised that this type of fault was not worth repairing, taking into consideration the age of the machine...no parts/ fixed fee as the machine was beyond repair.
